With Respect & Gratitude

I acknowledge the land on which I live and practise, and the Elders and Traditional Custodians who have cared for and learned from this land across generations.

I honour my own Irish homeland, its ancestors, traditions and connection to land, plants and healing.

I also acknowledge the Elders, healers, herbalists, medicine people, midwives, knowledge keepers and communities of cultures across the world who have observed nature, worked with plants and food as medicine, and passed traditional healing knowledge from one generation to the next.

Much of what we recognise today as herbal medicine and naturopathic practice has roots far older than our modern professions. These traditions belong to many peoples, cultures and lineages, and I acknowledge those who came before us and those who continue to protect and keep this knowledge alive.

I practise with respect for these teachings, with gratitude for what has been passed down, and with the understanding that there will always be more to learn from the land, from our Elders and from one another.
